The Concord Art Association, in conjunction with The Thoreau Farm Trust, Anderson Photo, and with sponsorship from Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announces a call for Concord and Carlisle Barn views. Please submit your paintings, prints or photos (either color or black and white) of Concord or Carlisle barns, to be juried for inclusion in a 2009 calendar. The views should be in a horizontal format, since the completed calendar will be 5.5 inches high by 8.5 inches wide.  Samples of previous years’ calendars can be viewed at Concord Art Association.

Please bring in your submissions (maximum of two per artist, not to exceed 36”) depicting your favorite views of Carlisle or Concord’s beautiful historic or contemporary barns. We’ll have a panel of jurors from The Thoreau Farm Trust, Anderson Photo, and Concord Art Association to judge the contest and select twelve winners, one for every month of the year. 

In addition, we would like to recall the winning artwork in late September 2008 to the Coleman Gallery. At this time, we request the art be framed, wired and ready to hang.  The Concord Art Association will host an exhibit of the Barn Art in Late September as a part of the Art in Barns Tour scheduled for September 28. This will also be the kick-off event for purchase of the calendar.
