About: Our Permanent Collection
The permanent collection of the Concord Art Association includes a wide variety
of paintings, drawings and sculpture acquired during its early years under the
leadership of our founder, Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts. Miss Roberts’ fine eye as an
art buyer and close relations with many of the artists represented in the collection,
coupled with her great generosity to the Art Association, yielded a stellar collection.
Over the years, additions to the collection have been made by friends of the
Concord Art Association, with the oversight of an active collections committee,

The Art Association’s collection policy includes works of Miss Roberts and other artists who have had
a particular direct influence and bearing on the Association. If any reader is aware of work that should

The opening of the secure, climate-controlled collections storage area in November 2009 underlines
ConcordArt Association’s commitment to the preservation of its art and archival material.
Concord Art Association maintains an active collections loan program, as well as an ongoing research
program into the collections and artists.
