Artist's Statement

"I was a clinical social worker practicing psychotherapy for many years before entering the art world. I find many satisfying similarities between the two fields. They both allow for expression of deep emotion. They both are vehicles for humor and creativity.

Some of my tapestries and soft sculptures are literal, some abstract. Many contain creatures or figures that are part human, some grim.

I love the versatility of fiber art because of the limitless possibilities of color and texture."
