Trips and Tours: Guggenheim Museum, New York City
One-Day Bus Trip
Tuesday, November 10, 2009
This is the first full-scale retrospective of Kandinsky's career in the US since 1985.
Nearly 100 paintings w ill be brought together from three partner institutions which have the greatest concentration of the artist's work in the world: the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NYC, Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, and Stadtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus, Munish, as well as from significant loans from private and public holdings.
We will board a bus early in the morning, enjoy coffee and muffins along the way, arrive at the Museum in time for a
delicious catered lunch, followed by a private tour of the exhibit. There will be plenty of time to explore the building and other exhibits. We will return to Concord in the evening.
