Linée Baird’s painting titled, Sable, was juried into the 2010 Northeast National Pastel Exhibition. The exhibition will be on display from June 12 through July 10 at the Arts Center/Old Forge New York. More of Linée's work can be viewed on her website www.lineepastels.com.

Hilary Baldwin
had two paintings accepted into the Bryan Memorial Gallery in Jefferson, VT, "Land and Light" exhibit that runs from Friday, July 2–Sunday, Sept. 12. Her painting, Late Afternoon Marsh was chosen for the postcard invitation and was also chosen for the gallery's advertisement for the show that the gallery submitted to American Art Review. Currently her work is on exhibit at Francesca Anderson Fine Art, Lexington for the show "Landscapes, Seascapes, Still Lifes and Portraits" that runs from June 9-30, opening reception is Thursday, June 17, 5:00-7:30 p.m. Her painting Mount Monadnock II was accepted into the Copley Society Summer Members' Show "Wanderlust" that runs July 1-August 20 with an opening reception on Thursday, July 29 from 5:30-7:30

Penny Billings is now represented year-round by Galerie d'Orsay at 33 Newbury Street in Boston. Her painting Summer Light was selected for exhibition at the Salmagundi Club's annual non-members show in New York City, which runs from July 12-23. Penny's paintings will also be exhibited in two shows at Addison Art Gallery in Orleans, MA: a landscape show in late July and a Copley Society artists' show in mid-August.

Irma Cerese's annual solo exhibit at Landing Gallery is titled "Painterly Perspective"s this year and will take place from August 6 through mid-September, 2010. The gallery is located at 8 Elm Street, Rockland, ME, 207.594.4544. Approximately fifty acrylic landscapes will be featured in the show. She also has work at Dragonfly Gallery on Martha's Vineyard for the 2010 season.

Sculpture by Charles Gibbs will be exhibited in a three-person show at The Field Gallery on Martha's Vineyard, July 18 - July 31, and he's the featured artist for the month of July at Edgewater Gallery in Middlebury, Vermont. Charles is represented year-round by both galleries, and you can see a good selection of his work any time you visit either of them.

Three paintings by Joanne Holtje were juried into "NatureWorks", a show of art and high- quality craft inspired by nature at Rollstone Studios & Gallery in Fitchburg. Barbara Jones has been selected as a featured artist in the latest issue of Northwest Life, a publication that is distributed to homes in the Lexington/Concord/Carlisle area. Her piece, Reaching for the Sun, was included in the article.

Phyllis Kaplan has an installation of sixteen of her paintings of Mexico, "Mexico...an American's View", at Jalapenos restaurant in Gloucester, MA. The paintings are on display indefinitely.


Michelle Lavallée
paintings of Boston and Québec landscapes were in the Boston Museum School's "InsideOut" Show as well as in the Zullo Gallery 15th Juried Exhibition. Concord artist and author, Ilie Ruby, debuts this week with her novel, The Language of Trees (Avon HarperCollins). Jeanne Rosier Smith has joined Sosebee Gallery on Nantucket, and will be the featured artist July 9-16, Opening Friday July 9 6-8pm; wharfside pastel demonstration on Saturday July 10, 11-2. She recently won the Award of Excellence at the For Pastels Only national juried show on Cape Cod, at the Cape Cod Cultural Center in South Yarmouth through June 27th, and has become a juried signature member of the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod.


Cindy A. Stephens photograph, Clinton, MA–Motion Pictures, was juried into “Collective” - The First Galatea Fine Art Juried Exhibition, which runs from August 6–29, 2010. The juror was Dina Deitsch, Associate Curator at the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln. Cindy also recently had work in the Cambridge Art Association's New Member Show. Michael Cunliff Thompson of Lunenburg MA, received a commission to paint Borromean Rings for Sir Frazer Stoddart, a leading scientist in the field of Nanotechnology, who has synthesized a Ring at the molecular level.

On receiving the paintings, Professor Stoddart remarked, "The collection has captivated the imagination of my whole research group and beyond... Michael understood the message and was able to give it expression in oils.”
