In Person: Approaches to the Figure (Early Spring) FULL

All Levels Welcome

Our subjects will be a live model and inspiring works of art. Using both drawing and painting media we’ll practice different approaches which focus your attention on simplifying the figure in space. Relying on observation, we’ll explore ways to establish correct proportions and create strong compositions. Emphasis is on the difference between everyday seeing and seeing for the world of two dimensional relationships, relative angles and dimensions, shapes, values, and colors. Every level of experience is welcome.
There is a model fee divided among the participants which you will pay directly to the instructor at the beginning of the course.
