All Levels Welcome! Those curious and want to explore various printmaking techniques as well as experienced printmakers who want to learn how to use our press and familiarize yourself with the print room.
The aim of this fun class is to introduce students to a variety of printmaking methods that can be used as a vehicle to express and communicate ideas in different ways.
Each class will introduce a different technique: drypoint, collagraph, linocut, woodcut, and monotype, and students will have an opportunity to combine methods and explore creative ink applications to achieve unique variations. Kate will show examples, both historical and contemporary, to stir imaginations. Students will become comfortable and familiar with these new techniques and with printing on our new press.
LIMITED TO SIX STUDENTS
This class will include all materials necessary for the class. A $120 Materials Fee will be due to the instructor.
Did you know? Our printmaking room is available for our members to rent for only $10 an hour. All you need is printmaking experience– taking this class counts!
