We encounter shapes everywhere and all the time. In this weekend workshop, participants will explore shape and form through drawings, paintings, collages, and cardboard constructions. Prior to the workshop, artists will create a personal “diary of shapes,” which will serve as springboards for the weekend’s exercises. We will play with color, pattern, and the relationship between 2D and 3D work. The goal is to experiment and see how far we can push shape as a means of expression.
