Meeting Meaning and Metaphor

Through drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media, we’ll explore how ideas, memories, and emotions can take visual form. Using metaphor as our guide, we’ll translate what we feel or remember into what we can see and touch. Each session includes guided prompts, discussion, and studio time to develop a small, connected body of work. The focus is on process rather than product—not only on what to make or how to make, but also why we make.

This class welcomes curiosity, reflection, and a willingness to experiment. By the end, participants will have a series of visual studies that reveal how meaning lives within their making.
