In this two-day workshop with pencil artist Mark Zieff, you will learn to create highly expressive still-life drawings using toned paper and a simplified palette of colored pencils. Artists started using toned paper in the fourteenth century to create paper studies for paintings and sculpture. Whether for an exploration or finished work, you will learn how to use the tone of the paper to create compositions that are more compelling, unified, and realistic.
