Watercolor for Absolute Beginners

Unlike most watercolor classes, this one will start at the very beginning! This class is geared towards the absolute beginner and will prepare you for future watercolor classes. We will begin with learning the basic techniques of color mixing, wash, wet into wet, edge shading, and building an image using transparent layering. You will also develop an understanding and appreciation of how water is used in watercolor. Water is everything: it is used to create paint movement, spontaneous expression as well as control, and transparency. Learn how to use value to build up an image spatially and with light and shadow.
