Join us on Wednesday, October 30th for an Artist Demo with Virginia Cramer!
Cramer, a former middle and high school art teacher, works in mixed media, paint, and pastels. Her inspiration comes from many sources: her inner world, memories, personal history, and her love of the natural world. She experiments with different styles, techniques, and materials exploring art as a language and means of expressing ideas that have personal meaning or that she finds interesting or beautiful. Her work moves between realism and abstraction. She is a member of Concord Art and exhibits in greater Boston.
During her demo, Cramer will be sharing how her artwork has evolved over time and how she approaches working with mixed media (including oil pigment sticks!), with emphasis on how she creates texture and uses patterns found in nature.
