Join us on Wednesday, January 29th for an Artist Demo with Donna Calleja! Donna will share how light and nature inspire her still life paintings. She will provide tips for color mixing with a limited palette and demonstrate different acrylic painting techniques including creating highlights and fine details. She will show the steps she uses in her painting process from underpainting to completed work.

Donna Calleja creates still life paintings that are inspired by her observation of light on garden flowers, fruit, and shells. She composes natural forms together for their shape, color, and texture from direct observation and her imagination. She loves the quiet process of seeing fine details slowly emerge in her small scale paintings.
Donna enjoyed a long career as a high school visual art teacher and now continues to teach painting workshops for adults in the Boston area. Her paintings are represented by Nahcotta in Portsmouth, NH and have been included in recent shows at Concord Art, E. Drumm Designs, and The South Shore Art Center. Her paintings are created with acrylic paint on panel at her home studio in Watertown, MA.
