Jane Henry Parsons began her career in Design and received her degree in Visual Arts/Illustration from UMASS Dartmouth. Since 2000, she has transitioned into oil painting and has studied at Decordova, Danforth Museum School, Medicine Wheel Studios and Mass Art continuing education. She has been on two painting retreats in San Gimignano, Italy, which provided much inspiration for her landscapes.

Please email marissacote@concordart.org to be put on a wait list.

To allow social distancing, this is a limited event – advance registration is required. No walk-ins, please!

Jane is passionate about the emotive quality color plays, layering, patterns, textures and pushing the boundaries of composition. She works in oils, primarily with a palette knife but is eager to use tools and mediums to explore new ways to add texture. Creating a sense of place through nature, still life and instilling joy are some of what inspires her but what is felt when viewing a painting is what drives her vision.

Jane has exhibited in numerous local venues, is in many private collections throughout the Unites States and is currently represented at Powers Gallery, Acton and Gallery Twist, Lexington. She is a member of many local art associations and enjoys donating her work to various charities.

Her studio is located in downtown Hudson, Massachusetts in the historic Odd Fellows building at 14 Main Street.
