
Artist’s Statement:
“Despite what some consider de rigueur these days, I claim no mission to explore the space-time continuum or contemplate the mystic boundaries of tweedledum and tweedledee. Rather, I believe that to succeed, visual art must stand on its own without the crutch of accompanying verbal explanation. Suffice it then that my photographs are my statement.”
Retired from a career as an ad agency executive and freelance writer, Mark Hopkins is a relative newcomer to art photography, having acquired his first digital camera in 2004. His work has appeared as follows:
