Juried by John Colan

In 1996, John Colan opened HallSpace, an art gallery in the hallway of his 4th floor studio on Thayer Street in Boston’s SoWa neighborhood. Now located in Dorchester, MA, HallSpace has exhibited work by many recognized and emerging artists, some of whom have been featured in Art in America, The Boston Globe, Art New England, and Artscope, among other publications. Colan has been a juror or co-juror for several exhibitions, such as the Student Annual Exhibition at the SMFA, Women’s Caucus for Art, Boston Chapter at the Concourse Gallery at Tufts University, The Senior Art Exhibition at Salve Regina College, and an exhibition at the Fountain Street Gallery.

John Colan is a Professor at Montserrat College of Art and is Coordinator of the Graphic Design Program. He has worked as a design consultant for the Danforth Museum of Art, Polaroid Corporation, Tufts University Gallery, and the Somerville Museum.
