Nina Gara Bozicnik, juror 

“Members Juried I: Painting and Sculpture” is our annual members competition and exhibit showcasing work in painting and sculpture.

Nina Gara Bozicnik is Assistant Curator at the Currier Museum of Art in Manchester, New Hampshire. She primarily works with the museum’s post-1960 collection and exhibitions of contemporary art—keen to foster meaningful visitor experiences with the art of the recent past. Her current projects include an exhibition of landscape video scheduled to open in summer 2011.

Nina received her BA in Art History and Arts Management from the College of Charleston in South Carolina and a Master’s degree in Art History from Tufts University in Somerville, Massachusetts. Prior to joining the Currier’s team in January, Nina was the Koch Curatorial Fellow at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Mass. where she helped shape a new exhibition series for emerging artists. Nina has worked on projects and exhibitions with internationally-recognized artists and has authored several exhibition brochures. Nina writes book reviews for the Women’s Art Journal published by Rutgers University and frequently serves on local art jury and review committees.
