The effect of climate change on bodies of water has been a source of inquiry for each artist in this exhibit for a substantial period of their art practice. Global warming, ocean acidification, loss of species, storm surges and flooding, over-fishing and plastic pollution are some of the topics they are dedicated to tackling in their work. Working within a wide range of media—including video, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, and installation—this diverse group shares the knowledge that we are at a critical moment in the health of our planet and a commitment to bringing this fact into the studio to visualize it and to share it.
