This year’s theme:

Human Interaction + People Gathering

Inspired by the paintings of Concord Art’s founder, Elizabeth Wentworth Roberts, and the photographs she captured as she traveled the world with her partner, Grace Keyes, this year’s calendar will feature artwork that celebrates, reflects, and explores themes of human interaction. Roberts and Keyes often brought old friends with them on their travels, and at times they met new friends along the way. Whether in pairs, small groups, or large crowds, the myriad of ways in which one human being interacts with another human being, or many thereof, offers a source of endless inspiration.

Human interactions and interpersonal connections are no less sacred today, as we live in a digital world and have just made it through a pandemic. What moments of human interaction capture your attention, ignite your unique perspective, and make you curious? How are these exchanges meaningful, entertaining, or insightful to you? Please send us an image of a rendering (painting, print, drawing, photograph, ceramics, fiber, etc.) for consideration in the 2025 Concord Art calendar.

Notification of accepted work will be Friday August 9th via email.
