MJ1 Entry Procedures:

  • Read the eligibility requirements + prospectus. Print and fill out your labels (on the prospectus). You can also do this in person, we will have copies in the galleries.
  • Register online and pay your fees at the ‘Registration Form’ link below. (If you are unable to register online or would prefer to do so in person, you can do it when you drop off your work.)
  • Bring your work in during the designated drop off days and times

ELIGIBILITY: Juried exhibitions are open exclusively to members of Concord Center for the Visual Arts. Accepted media for MJ1 include painting and sculpture. (Please note: Collage and mixed media work should be submitted for Members Juried 2.) Work must have been completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at Concord Art. Check your membership status here.

ENTRY PROCEDURES: Artists may submit up to two pieces at $15 per entry. Fees are not refundable. Artists may become members at the time of intake. Membership must be valid through the end of the exhibition. All work must be for sale. Concord Art receives 1/3 of the sale price and reserves the right to photograph work for publicity purposes. Please complete the entry forms that are in this flyer and attach to each piece of art.

SPECIFICATIONS: Artwork cannot exceed 48″ in any direction (including frame and display units). 3D work must be stable. 2D work must be suitable for hanging and firmly wired. Please, no saw tooth hangers, no sandwich/clip frames. We cannot accept work not adhering to these specifications.

INTAKE DELIVERY DATES: Tuesday, January 3, 10am-4pm; Wednesday, January 4, 10am-7pm; Thursday, January 5, 10am-4pm

NOTIFICATION: The names of the artists whose artwork is accepted will be posted at on Friday, January 6, after 9pm.

RETRIEVAL DATES: Artwork that is not accepted in the show must be picked up Saturday, January 7, 10am-4pm, and Sunday, January 8, 12-4pm. Once the show closes, accepted work should be picked up Monday, February 13, 9am-3pm, or Tuesday, February 14, 10am-4pm. Artists will be charged a $15 storage fee for work not picked up by the designated dates. Artists will have been notified if work is sold.

INSURANCE: Concord Art carries a blanket policy covering fire, theft and breakage at 100% of the sale price. Our insurance covers the work of an artist during the course of the exhibition only. We will not assume responsibility for work left after the designated pick up dates.

Henry and Lois Foster Chair of Contemporary Art Theory and Practice and Distinguished Curator-in-Residence at Emerson College, Boston.

A respected authority on the creative and scholarly aspects of contemporary art, Dr. Leonie Bradbury has 18+ years of experience creating compelling and innovative exhibitions, commissioning artistic works, and promoting artists as thought leaders.

Bradbury directs Emerson Contemporary, Emerson College’s platform for showcasing contemporary visual art.

Dr. Bradbury holds a B.A. in the History of Art from the University of Minnesota and a M.A. in the History of Art: 20th Century Art, Theory, and Criticism from Boston University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Aesthetics, and Art Theory from the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts in Portland, Maine.
