Haley Hasler

Originally from Colorado, Haley Hasler studied painting at Indiana University (BFA) and Boston University (MFA). She has received numerous grants and awards including a Fulbright Grant, an Indiana Arts Commission Fellowship, a Virginia Commission of the Arts Fellowship, a Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Professional Fellowship, and is a three-time winner of the Elizabeth Greenshields Award. Hasler has taught painting and drawing and lectured at various universities, including University of Virginia, University of New Hampshire, Boston University, and Colorado State University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at museums, galleries, and universities including Alpha Gallery in Boston, Galleri Kirk in Denmark, the Nicolaysen Museum of Art, the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center, the Pelham Arts Center, the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art, the Andrew Gallery at the College of William and Mary, and Gallery 1234 in Trinidad, West Indies, among others. Recent exhibitions and accompanying publications include Art of the State at the Arvada Center in Colorado; Get Real: New American Painting at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Jacksonville, Florida; The Expressive Voice: Brought to Light, featuring selections from the permanent collection of the Danforth Museum in Massachusetts; and Sight Specific at the Concord Art Association. Her work has been published in New American Paintings, Women in Art, & Magazine, and 100 Boston Painters, among others. Hasler is represented by Alpha Gallery in Boston.
